I am a New York based photographer from Birmingham. I’ve loved photography ever since I was young. In my house we had many books on photography and the two that I looked at and that influenced my vision the most were of the Troubles in Northern Ireland and of the Civil Rights Movement in the South.

When I moved to NY, I was introduced to Louis Stettner, Roy De Carava, and Saul Leiter. These photographers broadened my vision of the world around me. Currently, I’m using equipment that encompasses everything from the latest Canon equipment to a vintage Speedgraphic camera. I try to photograph my surroundings, unaltered, and capture people, in their everyday endeavors of life, with respect and dignity.
